How does the camera pan tilt work?

Camera PTZ is a device that carries the camera to rotate in horizontal and vertical directions. Two motors are installed in the camera pan tilt. One of the two motors is responsible for the rotation in the horizontal direction and the other is responsible for the rotation in the vertical direction. The horizontal rotation angle is generally 350?, The vertical rotation is 45 ° 35?、 75? wait. The angle of horizontal and vertical rotation can be adjusted by limit switch. The classification of camera PTZ is as follows:

(1) indoor camera PTZ and outdoor PTZ

The indoor PTZ has small bearing capacity and no rain proof device. Outdoor PTZ has large bearing capacity and rain proof device. In addition to rain proof devices, some high-grade outdoor PTZ also have anti freezing and heating devices.

(2) load bearing

In order to adapt to the installation of different cameras and protective covers, the bearing capacity of the camera PTZ shall be different. The proper load-bearing PTZ shall be selected according to the total weight of the selected network camera and protective cover. The bearing capacity of the indoor PTZ is small, and the volume and weight of the PTZ are also small. The outdoor PTZ must be equipped with a network camera with a protective cover (usually an all-weather protective cover) on it, so the bearing capacity is large. Its volume and weight are also large.

At present, the bearing weight of indoor PTZ is about 1.5kg ~ 7kg, and that of outdoor PTZ is about 7kg ~ 50kg. Some PTZ are micro PTZ, such as PTZ installed in hemispherical protective cover or all-weather protective cover together with the camera.

General camera PTZ belongs to electric PTZ controlled by wire. There are five input terminals of the control line, one of which is the common terminal of the power supply, and the other four are divided into upper, lower, left and right control terminals. If one end of the power supply is connected to the public terminal and the other end of the power supply is connected to the “upper”, the PTZ will drive the camera head to rotate upward, and so on.

Some camera heads are equipped with control circuits such as relays. Such heads often have six control inputs. One is the common end of the power supply, the other four are the upper, lower, left and right ends, and the other is the automatic rotation end. When one end of the power supply is connected to the public end and the other end of the power supply is connected to the “automatic” end, the PTZ will automatically rotate up, down, left and right with the camera head at a certain rotation speed.

In terms of power supply voltage, there are two common types of AC 24V and 220V. The power consumption of the PTZ is generally small when the bearing weight is small and large when the bearing weight is large.

At present, there are also small indoor PTZ powered by DC 6V, which can be installed with batteries and remotely controlled by infrared remote controller. At present, most PTZ still use wired remote control. When the installation position of the PTZ is close to the control center and the number is small, the control signal is generally directly output from the console for control. When the installation position of the PTZ is far away from the control center and the number is large, the encoded control signal is often transmitted by bus and the control signal is decoded by the terminal decoder to control the rotation of the PTZ.

When selecting the camera PTZ, it is better to select the camera PTZ with the control input terminal and the network video input / output terminal interface installed at the fixed position of the camera PTZ, and between the fixed position and the rotating position (i.e. between the camera) there is a soft spiral line connecting the control input line and the video output line of the camera and the lens. After the installation and use of such a camera head, the connection of the rotating part will not be damaged due to long-term use. Especially for outdoor PTZ.
